Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

I have a lawsuit pending. The insurance company has made and offer of $5,000.00. My attorney counter offered 20,000. They finally came to an agreement of 8500.00. I am not happy with this offer because I will be left with hospital bills. I have asked my attorney to go back in to counter off a settlement in an amount where the hspital bills will be paid and she is refusing. What should I do now? Thank you for your advice in advance.

The lawyer cannot settle the case without your agreement. Meet face to face to get and understanding of why the attorney feels you will not get more by pursuing the case or demanding more. Sometimes the facts are just not with you, regardless of the medical expenses. Some is better than none in those situations.
