Can I revoke and cancel the paper I signed with my current attorney giving them permission to settle my case for a certain amount? Am I obligated to take the settlement?

Depends on what you signed and status of settlement. If you signed a general release and he gave to the other side, it is probably too late.

If your attorney settled your case in reliance on the authority you provided in writing, it is likely too late. If your attorney has not settled your case yet, you can revoke the authority at any time. I would advise you to call your attorney to discuss this. Good luck to you.
