Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

slip and fall

I don't remamber the date, but I slipped and fell in a store. I wasn't really hurting then, but lately my back has been hurting. It was wet and rainy out, and I went in to try to hurry with my shopping, when I slipped on the wet floor. There was not a sign up saying that it was a wet floor, and when I told the cashier she only said,''That's because the floor is wet.'' I am not really sure what to do, as I am only 16 years old.

NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

Unless you have a serious injury which is backed up by competent evidence and medical reports, the chances are that your injury will not be worth much, if anything. Simply "hurting" is not enough to make a claim against a business. You may wish to report it to the store and if they have insurance, they may pay for you to see a doctor.
