Legal Question in Product Liability in Florida

Reproduction parts manufacturing

Hello, I am interested in manufacturing some reproduction parts of parts no longer being made or offered by the original manufacturer. Some of the parts had the original manufacturers name/emblem on it. I am concerned about the legalities of making the parts with and without the name/emblem. Any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. -Eric

Re: Reproduction parts manufacturing

It would probably be a trademark violation. Also, it could be considered fraudulent in the context of a sale or the selling of counterfit items. I wouldn't do it.

Mr. Wagner is correct and it could be patent infringement if the items are patented. You will need to seek permission to go forward with your business plan. Feel free to contact us if you want legal assistance with this business matter.
