Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

We bought our current house in August 2009. We were not provided the HOA by-laws and covenants. Come to find out, they do not allow businesses to be run out of your home. My wife runs a licensed in-home day care. We thought we were close to reaching a compromise with the HOA, but they just told us we have to cease operation by July 31. We just need to know what our options are from here? Can they legally make us close or kick us out of the neighborhood? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If the by-laws and covenants specifically restrict your ability to run a business from your home, then you would be required to comply with the terms of these documents as a member of that community.
