Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I just bought my first house at age 36...After 2 weeks the a/c unit broke and the whole thing had to be replaced. The sellers disclosure statement said there wasn't anything wrong with the a/c. He actually lied and said the a/c was 5 years old when it was 12 years old. I paid for a new inside/outside unt. Can I pursue him for the expense? I'm worried what else may be wrong that he didn't disclose.

You have highlighted why in Florida you should have an attorney help with all closings. These kinds of problems would be ferreted out with proper inspections. Were any done? These would have revealed the issues you now face. I would suggest you take all your closing paperwork to a real estate attorney and seek advice. You may have recourse, but it may be severely limited.
