Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

My condo is in foreclosure in Florida and the HOA are suing me according to court records for maintenance not paid. Can they freeze my bank account and can I sue the HOA because they prevented me from having a tenant? At the time my tenant wanted to move in the HOA decided without the management company for me to pay $500.00 before they would approve my tenant and collect my rent until the contract expired . I didn't have the $500. The economic meltdown took all my liquidity I told the them they could have the last months rent which would have been $675.00 leaving me still in arrears. I told them they can collect the rent until I'm current. The tenant pulled out. I got another tenat and then the board decided they now want $1000.00. The 2nd tenant also pulled out. So the board of the HOA made all these decisions not the management company. I had never missed a payment in 7 years and this is how they treated me. I didn't even receive a phone call from the HOA or the management company. The property is in Pompano Beach, FL

Thank you

I recommend that you speak with an attorney and have them review your case, as well as your contract with the HOA. File an answer to their complaint if you want to be heard in court. Regards,
