Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

disclosure law

I purchased a new townhouse in a community of 55 such homes. I now find out 10 of the units were sold at a much lower price as low income housing. Should this have been disclosed? Do I have recourse as the value of my home is affected. My purchase price was app $270,000 and low income units were sold for $150's. Same units. Thx.

Re: disclosure law

You may possibly have a claim against the real estate broker (if any) and seller, but without learning more facts and performing legal research on the issues relating to your particular matter, I cannot represent to you that you have a viable cause of action under Florida law. Did you obtain financing? Was an appraisal performed? If you wish to discuss the matter, feel free to call my office.
