Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Eviction

I got a judgement against my tennants for non-compliance. They have since moved out. I did not have to get an order. Because I was able to get the judgement, do I have to return any of their deposit or does the judgement automatically forfiet this return of monies for them?

Re: Eviction

Need more information, and need to review the Final Judgment. Generally, if the Final Judgment is for money damages, it should have contained a forfeiture of deposit. However, if you have deposit funds, and properly claimed them, you can apply the funds to the amount of the judgement. All this depends, of course, on whether the judgment is properly drafted and entered. Have it reviewed by a lawyer.
