Eviction

How does an eviction take place, i have lived here for 3 years my uncle decided to sell the place and a new landlord wants to kick me out so he can remodle, they gave me a 30 day notice, which isnt from the court house, i pay my rent every month on time and i have done everything they ever asked of me, i even got rid of my pets to stay. Just because he wants to remodle the place i shouldnt lose my home

Sorry, but unless you have an enforceable lease, you are a tenant at will. If you pay monthly, the landlord must serve you with a termination notice at lease 15 days before the end of a monthly period. If you don't leave, he may file a Complaint for Eviction, and get a Writ of Possession soon after. You have 5 days to respond to the Eviction Complaint, not counting Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays. Get a lawyer now, so that you will be prepared when you are served with process. A competent lawyer will be able to raise any technical defenses available.
