Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Form for satisfaction of a balloon note

We held a balloon note (basically a second mortgage on a property in Holiday, FL) that is finally being paid off. The couple need to have a ''satisfaction of the note'' form in order to get refinancing for their house. Do you have such a form and how much does it cost?

We are in NC at the present time and do not have a copy of the recorded note. However, the couple paying off the note have given us the ''recorded document #'' from the Pasco County Records Dept. Is that all we need besides the basic data (names, addresses, etc.) for the form to say that they have satisfied the note? Thank you.

Re: Form for satisfaction of a balloon note

You need to provide a satisfaction of mortgage and return of the original promissory note. If you have all the necessary supporting documents, fees should not exceed $150.00
