Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Am I grandfathered in?

When I bought my condo you could lease the apartment after 6 months. My deed was recorded on March 22. 2004. On April 5, 2004 the by-laws of the condo were changed and recorded to state that you could NOT lease until you have owned for 1 year. I want to lease after September 22, which will be 6 months. Since, when I bought the place the 6 month rule was in effect, can I be grandfathered in and be able to rent after 6 months even though the by-laws have changed?

Re: Am I grandfathered in?

Do the condo docs refer to amendments? Provisions, and effective dates?
