You should speak with an attorney practicing in the areas of foreclosure defense and bankruptcy. You have rights as a homeowner so it's important to speak with an attorney as soon as possible.

The earlier you consult in the process, the more options you will have available to you.

Best of luck

I agree with the previous attorney. You should speak with an attorney practicing in foreclosure defense and bankruptcy. Be warned, however, that "mortgage modification" specialists are not necessary and it is not lawful for those companies to charge up-front fees. If you want, we can assist or we can provide you the name of a good attorney in this area of law.
