Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

my husband and I recently purchased a home in florida, but live in Toronto. The house is currently in his name and we want to put my name on the title now. What is the best way to go about this?

Either a Quit Claim Deed or Warranty Deed. You should contact an attorney to do this correctly.

I am presently dealing with a case where the husband self helped himself into a court case to fix the errors in the deed he prepared. Obviously it will cost a lot more and take far longer going through court, which was easily avoidable.

If I can be of assistance, please call me at 888-475-1732.

A deed probably a quit claim should be filed. You need to make sure it will not trigger a breach of a mortgage if one is on the property. If you need assitance please feel free to call. Full information will be needed to receive a complete answer.
