Judgement

I have a judgement against me for a creditor, what actually is a judgement and what are the ramifications of a judgement.

A money judgment against you means that a trial court made a final determination that you owe money to a party (person or entity). Depending on how that judgment came about, you may be able to appeal the judgment with the time allowed for filing an appeal. If the judgment sticks, it will give the creditor the right to pursue collection of the judgment against you. If the judgment is significant for you, and the judgment creditor pursues collection, you should seriously consider meeting with an attorney toprotect your interests and learn legal options you may have.
