Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Land

My mother owns some property with me. It is bought and paid for! I have kept it up for years. I want her name off of it. How do I go about getting her name off of it? My mother does not want this to happen! I want her off.

Re: Land

If you both own it, you both own it. Buy her out.

There is not way to take her name off the deed if mom does bot agree anymore than she could take your name off the deed. The simpliest method to get title in your name alone is to try to make a deal to buy mom's interest from her. If this does not work, your only option is to file a suit for partition and the court will try to have the parties reach some agreement, allow one to buy out the other, or order the property placed for sale on the open market.
