Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I am leaving my husband and buying a house cash.. Currently, I am only on the deed to our home not the note. He is short selling this home, what can i do to protect myself from his creditors, do i do a quit claim to homestead my new home or what?? Not sure if BOA can come after me because of him. And I cant homestead 2 homes

Seek some legal advice. Since you are not on the note on the home, assuming that is true you are not responsible for any underpayments or excess which is due. As for other debt, it needs to be reviewed one item at a time. Not sure what you mean by "quit claim to homestead my new home". You need to clarify this and seek legal counsel. You can only claim homestead for any of the various homestead rights in Florida on one property.
