Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Legal life of a recorded judgment or lein

I believe that the current law allows for a recorded judgment or lein to ''die'' after 7 years unless re-recorded. When did that come into effect. What other law applies to judgments and leins as to time. What should be done to defeat a judgment that has ''died''. thank you.

Re: Legal life of a recorded judgment or lein

If something is dead, it is dead. Accordingly, there is nothing to do. Although the judgment lien may have expired, the judgment may be very alive and enforceable.

As to the balance of your question, the response is far to vast to be adequately answered here. If you wish a consultation, call me.
