Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Power of Atty for Selling House in Florida

My wife and I plan to ''close'' on our Florida home next Friday. I will be at the closing, but my wife is working in New Jersey and can't attend the closing. Does she need to give me power of attorney for the closing and, if so, should it be a Florida or New Jersey power of attorney?

Your wife should execute a POA that follows Florida guidelines and gives you authority to conduct real estate transactions on her behalf. If you have a realtor, your realtor can probably provide you with one.
