Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I am in the process of buying a house in Florida. The seller disclosed that the septic system needed a pump ($300) and they were not paying for it. I had a septic inspection to make sure nothing else was wrong, only to find out that the pump is actually $450 to replace. It is a Norweco aerobic water treatment system that requires yearly maintenance ($420 yearly) and can be very costly to repair. Due to this issue of non-disclosure, do I have the option of backing out of the contract?

Your contract controls. you need to have it reviewed by an attorney. The time frames for taking action are usually spelled out in the contract as well so act quickly.
