Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I am renting a home and signed a 2 year lease. I have only been in the home for 60 days and just received a job offfer that is not in a commutable distance. The only language in the lease related to notice to terminatestates: Any notice to terminate must comply wtih the ACT. Can you please tell me what this means? I have to inform my new employer of any fees related to early term of the lease.

Whether you can terminate early depends on the lease. I can't tell you what they mean by "ACT." You will be held to the terms of your lease agreement and will have to pay your landlord for rent until he can find a new tenant unless your lease says otherwise. You can ask your landlord if s/he will let you terminate early, but put the terms in writing or s/he may still go after you for rent under the lease.
