Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

tenant landlord

I rented our home in Florida to someone and received a 1500.00 security deposit. Upon them terminating the tenancy there were damages exceeding the security. Since they did not provide me with a forwarding address I mailed a move out report to the home address. I was advised by the post office that they do not forward certified mail. Since I did not receive the letter back I'm sure they received it however I did not receive a response. Now, after 6-1/2 months, they are demanded their security deposit back. What are my legal rights?

Re: tenant landlord

You should be asking a FL attorney, not CA.
