Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

A woman I know died, had no will and no heirs and no relatives. She had no representative appointed to handle her estate. Her property sits just as it was before she died. Everything is paid up to date at this time. If I continued to pay the property taxes on this property could I live there and what legal problems could arise with the mortgage company.

You cannot legally take over possession of her property. You can file the probate, but you wont any legal right to the property, although you could potentially rent it from the Estate. The mortgage either needs to get paid OR the mortgage company will foreclose.
