Legal Question in Tax Law in Florida

If I am a florida resident (from massachusetts) and do not stay out of massachusetts for over 6 months what are the fines and penalities?

I don't know of any "fines and penalties." What you would be concerned about, however, would be potentially losing your domicile status in Florida. In that case, you might lose all the benefits that go along with being considered a florida resident, including, among other things, any homestead exemption you are claiming on your Florida real estate.
