Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

Drivers License

I have had my dirvers License suspended since August of 05 in FL. I was involved in a accident and found at fault. I have paid my traffic fines and late fees, however the state will not re-instate my lisence because I have been told I need to pay $6400 to the party I hit. My question is, Is there a statue of limitation on the suspension or does a suspension carry after lisence expiration? I cannot afford to pay this and have lived without driving since, I can no longer do this. I am in the military and fighting this has been difficult I appreciate all help, thatnk you.

I would doubt that any time limit would apply to this administrative suspension of your driver's license which will likely perdure until you pay the outstanding judgment against you.
