Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

In Florida can a county sheriff ticket you on private land? I was moving a 5th wheel trailer in a private campground with a truck with expired tags and without insurance. Also my licence had been suspended for non-insurance on the truck. I had a fender bender, no personal injury and damages were estimated at $1500. The officer ticketed me for: 1- no insurance, 2-driving on a suspended lic, 3-expired tag (more than 6 months, 4-careless driving.

Are these charges vaild on private land?

Thank you

Probably not. A lot depends on the exact facts such as reason for officer being on the land, how private it is, and other factors. It is a grey area, so in order to beat these tickets, you should sit down with an attorney and explain all the facts. Then the attorney can see if "legally" the cop could give you those tickets.
