Can a Cuban resident (living in Cuba) inherit and actually receive monetary funds from a relative in the United States?

I can't think of any reason why a US resident would not be able to leave an inheritance to a Cuban relative in Cuba. There are some issues getting money into Cuba, but that is also a possibility. However, depending on the amount, it might have to be split up and sent in multiple smaller amounts over an extended period of time.
