Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Am I disinherited?

Illegitmate daughter not included in my deceased father's will. My father did not know the existance of me at all until 1 1/2 years before his death. His will was made before his knowledge of having another child(me). I found my biological father by information provided to me by my mother(DNA testing was done). At that time my father and I met, and then my father passes away suddenly. This happens before he updated his will to included me(though I know he would have because of statements made to me by his wife shortly after his passing. My half siblings were named in his will and his wife as the representitive. Do I have any ''rights'' to my father's estate? What legal actions might I have to pursue? His wife is making sure thru legal actions that I can never have part in my father's estate. Thank you in advance for any help someone can provide me with.

Re: Am I disinherited?

You should find an attorney to represent your interests in the probate and challenge the will ASAP! If your income falls below the poverty line, then you may be able to obtain free legal services. Information is at www.texasbar.com if your father's estate is being probated in Texas. If it is being probated in Florida, the Florida State Bar should have something similar. Best of luck.
