Florida Statutes 733.601 - 733.620 outline the Duties and Powers of the Personal Representative. Generally, the P.R. has a duty to protect the assets and pay the claims of the estate on behalf of the beneficiaries and creditors.

The duties of a PR are set forth under the terms of the will and Florida Statute. The PR does not have the right to do whatever he wants.
