Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

My father passed away 6 months, my step mother of 35 years for selfish reasons does not want to give me a copy of my fathers will and won't talk to me. I am executor of his estate, I know everything goes to her but it also states upon her death it is to be divided equally among all 3 children. Does she have to show the will to anyone for anything? How can I obtain a copy if she won't give me one?

she does not have to show you the will. the only way the children can share in the proceeds after her death is if her estate provides for that OR your father had a trust providing for that disposition. if you are beneficiary of the trust you would be entitled to see that document. you really need an attorney to assist you

IF you know that your dad had a will, then you might want to check with the attorney that drew that will up and request the estate be probated.
