Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Illegal Alien Beneficiary

I am a gay US citizen in a long relationship with an immigrant with expired legal time to stay in the US. I want to have him as the beneficiary in my will but don't know if an illegal immigrant has rights to claim a will or if there is other way for him to get my properties and possesions after my death. I don't have children and the only two members of my family (two sisters) won't need anything from my possesions. How can I protect my boyfriend? Thanks!

Re: Illegal Alien Beneficiary

The beneficiaries of your will need not be citizens of this nation. Just make certain your friend will know of your death and the county where your estate will be probated so he can make the court aware who he is.
