Life estate

2 yr prior to death my G.F. and i and family went to an attorney and had her will changed to give her son use of the house till he died and after that I am the sole beneficiary of the home. Her son now wants to sell his interest in staying there to me for 5,000. Can this be done?We are in Florida

sure he can, if you agree to pay him. A life estate does have a certain amount of value.

You should have an attorney draw up the agreement and new deed.
