pay deceased credit card debt?

If a deceased person has CC debt and there are assets and cash, do you have to pay it?

All debts of the decedent are the responsibility of his estate to pay, if they have sufficient funds to do so. This includes his credit cards, although you should check if there were credit life insurance to cover it. Some people carry this, although the CC comnpany charges for it, so it may not exist.

The estate is responsible to pay all debts of the decedent, from estate assets. I suggest checking first with the CC company to see if the deceased was covered by CC life insurance. If so, it would pay the balance due.
