Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I am a resident of the United States. However I own property is Trinidad. Would a will created in the United States be sufficient for Trinidad? Or do I need to make a will with the help of a attorney in Trinidad?

Only a Trinidad lawyer can answer this question with certainty. Probably a will here is enough -- but it would really depend on the laws of Trinidad.

You can check with the American Consulate or a lawyer in Trinidad, but I would think a Florida will would suffice. Your Estate gets probated in the state or country you are domiciled in at the time of death so you will need a local will.. An Ancillary Probate would then be needed in whatever country or state you own land.
