rights of a surviving spouse / with no children together

husband dies. no will. previous children who are adults now. house,bills,credit cards, ect. in decedents name only.which was accumalated prior to marriage. what are the wifes rights? when only married 1 year, and they had no children together, and husband also owned his own bussiness. what are wifes rights to house,monies,bussiness, ect.?

Florida law allows a spouse to inherit one-half of the deceased spouse's estate when there are children born from a prior marriage. There may be other benefits as well, but that would depend on circumstances such as whether the decedent owned a home, etc.
