Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

lump sum amount

I was hurt on the job. I broke my fubula. I had to have surgery. The Surgon put a plate and 6 screws in my leg. Workman's Comp has so far approved everything, but now the are jerking me around and won't yet approve my physical therapy. I should be off my cruches completely, but I am not and am just getting further behind in my recovery process. My main question is how is the lump sum figure aquired that can be paid in addition to the medical cost they have paid.

Re: lump sum amount

You should be more concerned with getting your leg in shape than thinking about a lump sum settlement. If the WC provider is slow to approve therapy, you should be calling every day and if necessary, filing a claim for the medical care. An atttorney can help you file a claim. You may contact me by phone for a consultation.
