Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

I had a major accident at work and had to be airlifted to a hospital. Had surgery etc... My employer kept harrasing me to get back to work as soon as possible. I went back and had a relapse. They sent me home and I went to ER. When I returned to work they cut my hrs and pay significantly. To the point that there is no way I can survive on pay. Do I have any recourse or can I receive any type of settlement?

There is nothing you can do about the employer cutting your hours, HOWEVER, you may be entitled to additional lost wage benefits called Temporary Partial Disability to make up some of the difference between what you were earning before the injury and what you are earning now. Temporary Partial Disability benefits are not taxable. An attorney can also negotiate a settlement which would give you a lump sum of money in exchange for future lost wages and medical care. A voluntary resignation from you job is usually required.
