Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

Settlement

I have an open Workman's Comp case and now I have been notified that my case is up for settlement. Should I settle? I am still under a doctor's care and take several meds daily. I think my injury will be a life long injury. Thanks

Re: Settlement

Settlement of your case is tough decision. If you settle, you will have to give up all future medical treatment, resign from your job, give up indemnity benefits and many other benefits. The factors that you should consider are whether you need the future medical treatment, age, employment likelihood, limitations, restrictions, value of the settlement, etc.

You should seek the advice of a w/c atty. before settling your case. He or she could help you understand your rights under the w/c law.
