Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

hello, i'm Steven i have a quick question for you guys. Ok, i was working for a company for four days pumping concrete. I hadn't yet been put on the books so i was collecting pay at end of the day. on my fourth day i i fell off the back of a non OCHA approved rolling bakers scaffel and twisted my knee up bad. my employers are refusing to help me or provide aid to my injury its been three weeks and i still cant walk.i was unable to claim workers comp due to the fact they never put me on the books. I want to know if i have a law suit case of some sort cause id like to get my knee fixed. I have a 3 month old son and a girlfriend that rely on me to get the necessary money to live our lives. Thank you and any aid would be much appreciated.

You have a worker's compensation case, even without being on the books. If they had an employee leasing company that company likely wont pay you, but the company itself is responsible. W/C puts medical care and lost wages in your hands more timely than a negligence action. You may have the right to choose a negligence claim too, but it wont get you taken care of quickly. You need to contact a competent attorney who knows this area of law asap. Let me know if you need a recommendation.
