workmans comp.

if i'm recieving weekly benifits for an injury that i recieved at work and it's lifetime benifit and my company i worked for fired me because of my disability can i recieve unemployment benifits and a workmans comp. benifit at the same time?

The answer is probably yes. Without knowing more--that is the benefit you are receiving from workers' comp-- I cannot be 100 percent. The question is are you entitled to unemployment if you are unable to work and was fired. If fired for misconduct, you may not be entitled to unemployment. I always suggest that you speak to your workers compensation attorney re this, and if you do not have one, you should get one.
