Legal Question in International Law in France

Internet harrassment

I live in France and i am the victim of moral harrassment through the internet by e-mail and also through a forum. I know the name and address of the person harrassing me. This person lives in the USA, and harrasses me through a site situated in the UK.

What sort of legal action can be taken in such a case?

Re: Internet harrassment

Three possibilities occur to me: (1) You can file a complaint with the Procureur de la Republique at the Tribunal de Grande Instance where you live; (2) You can do the same but with the Juge d'Instruction. It is more apt to be followed up. (3) You can retain counsel in the jurisdiction in the U.S. where the person lives and sue for (a)invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional harm and for an injunction ordering him/her to cease and desist.
