If someone declares bankruptcy,what other assets are protected besides one's home?

Your posts shows you as being in Florida but are asking about Georgia. The answer depends on the state, and also on how long you have lived in a state, so we'll need more information. It also is affected (in some cases) by when you acquired an asset, what liens are on it, and how you use the asset.

401K's, Retirement Accounts, School Saving's Plans, Life Insurance Proceeds, SSI.....with many personal exemptions on personal property if a homestead is not claimed as an exemption.
