Legal Question in Disability Law in Georgia

Do I have a disability?

I have only been able to see out of one eye since birth, does this qualify as a disability?

Re: Do I have a disability?

The question you didn't ask is "disability" for what purpose? For purposes of the Americans With Disabilities Act, the answer is, yes, it is. But all that means is if you are able to do the job, with or without a "reasonable accomodation" for your condition, you cannot be discriminated against in employment matters due to it.

For other purposes, such as disability insurance, it would depend on the plan or policy terms. For Social Security purposes, it would be a "disability", but it would have to prevent you from engaging in any gainful employment to be entitled to disability benefits, but that sounds very unlikely.
