Legal Question in Administrative Law in Georgia

What color ink?

I am a Notary in GA at a hotel. I recently was asked to notarize real estate purchase documents by a guest purchasing property in SC. I have always been told legal documents should be signed in black ink. The letter from her attorney's office specifically stated to sign in blue ink. We called the office and they said that legal requirements were migrating to blue ink but they would accept black ink at this time. Is this true?

Re: What color ink?

It depends on personal preference and company policy but in general it is true. The reason is that the advent of laser printers and copiers have made it difficult to tell the original from a copy. But if the original is in blue ink then it is not difficult.
