Violation of privacy/legal documets

HIPPA provides protection over health documents, but what about legal documents? Is there a law that protects citizens from exposing legals documents without that parties permission?

If it is work product then attorney client privledge would cover it. However, if it is documents that are filed as part of a lawsuit or court proceedings then generally "no".
