Legal Question in Banking Law in Georgia

suing a bank

Hello- I just opened a checking account at Wachovia 2 days ago, and deposited 50. dollars into the account (the required amount to begin an account), but when I checked my account details online, the statement said I only had 33 dollars. I e-mailed a representative, and she confirmed this. Would I be able to sue the bank for stealing my money, as I don't understand how this could possibly happen, to even START the account, I needed 50 dollars. And if I could sue the bank, approximately how much would I be able to receive? Thanks

Re: suing a bank

You failed to tell us what happened when you asked for an explanation, a printout of the transactions or other detailed account information. That is the obvious logical first step, prior to accusing the Bank of stealing your money and wondering how much you are going to get.
