Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia

Bar date regarding a corporation bankruptcy

I was a supplier to a large corporation that filed bankruptcy and my attorney missed the bar date for 2 claims. One claim was on the books so I was able to sell that claim for 40cents/per dollar. The other claim was not allowed because it missed the bar date and was not in the books but was a legitimate claim but needed a p.o. which was easy to prove and receive. This claim is for 220,000 and @ 40 cents I lost 88000.00. What are my options. Thank you

Re: Bar date regarding a corporation bankruptcy

The answer is far beyond the typical consumer question here, especially with the amount at issue. You need a lawyer. There is a well-developed test of filing a late claim, and one of the factors is how quickly you act after the deadline. Get a lawyer experienced in business bankruptcy issues, not consumer bankruptcy.
