Deed in Lieu of FORECLOSURE

In Georgia, what steps do I take to do a Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure? How long does it take to get done? How much does it cost and can I do it?

It depends on if the lender will agree to it (many will not). You should not consider that or talk to the lender about it until you meet with a lawyer and determine your options.

There is no standard cost - ask a real estate lawyer in your area how much they charge. Perhaps the lender can prepare one and you can just pay a lawyer to review it. Of course, this is a seperate issue from whether it is a good idea to do it.
