Returned checks prior to Bankruptcy Filing

Are NSF or returned checks dischargeable once bankruptcy is filed. I owed nsf charges, etc.

It's going to depend on a number of factors. You cannot discharge debts obtained through fraud, so depending on what the check was for and the amount, it may not be dischargeable. In addition, if the debt was incurred within a certain time period prior to filing, it may be non dischargeable.
