Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Business Filing Type in Georgia
Can a corporate entity (LLC or LLP) represent itself without attorney representation in both small claims and civil court in Georgia?
We are starting a business but before we file as an LLC, LLP or otherwise, we need to know if we (my business partner and I) can represent ourselves in court without having to hire an attorney.
Thank you.

Re: Business Filing Type in Georgia
Generally, no.
There are some matters a business can represent itself in Magistrate Court (small claims court), but a LLC and LLP cannot represent itself in State, Superior or Federal court.
